Midori is one of the main characters in my book called Midori 緑
It is almost complete, and I signed a contract with a large publishing company to get it published. I am very excited! I mean, this book is going to be in bookstores, and everything! (Maybe someday it may even be a movie!) Well, it isn't a manga or anything, but I enjoy drawing Midori. For the front cover of the book, a professional artist will be hired, so, yeah.
Midori is a "foreign" exchange student from Japan visiting London, England. On her first day of High school, she is completely green. Green hair, shirt bracelets, earrings, bows, skirt, shoes, glasses, etc. Except, she has yellow eyes! Even though the books are called Midori 緑 the real main character's name is Crucius, a boy in High school as well. Crucius (or Kashi-Kun, as Midori calls him), is an average young man, but is a bit picked on by his upper-classmen. Midori is the most obscure and odd person Crucius has ever met. The two become friends, and share their stories with each other. At school, Midori is completely bullied, and normal people would most likely want to leave and change schools, but every single day, Midori has a big smile on her face. No one had ever seen Midori frown, ever. It seems that Midori has no parents, and that she is not staying with any family as a foreign exchange student. The school seems concerned about this, and cannot find any records of her in England or Japan. Midori doesn't exist! Crucius follows her home from school to see where she stays at night. After walking for five miles behind this green girl, she stops in a large field, and disappears!! Crucius runs in her direction, and is unsuccessful in finding her. The next day after school, he does the same thing, and five miles away in a field, she just disappears again! Midori succumbs to Crucius' curiosity, and reveals to him that she isn't a human at all, but an animal! Crucius doesn't believe her, until she turns into a snake! She had turned into a snake in the fields! As a snake, Crucius is the only human that can understand her! Midori explains that she was granted one year to be a human by the "Earth Mother", in order to convince humans to save the Earth. Crucius becomes afraid of her, and strays away from her, leaving Midori alone to be bullied at school for being different. The story continues, and Midori explains to Crucius that animals are dying, and so is the "Earth Mother." Everyone knows about Global Warming, but Midori knows its real effect. She reveals her complete and utter hatred towards humans, which surprises Crucius in the deepest, because Midori had always only had one emotion, happy. Midori expresses her memories of when she was a younger snake, her mother and her brothers and sisters were murdered by a large lawn mower in a field, and she had to lay and watch them die.
Midori takes great action towards the end of her "human year". She does everything in her power to save the "Earth Mother", who could die at any moment. If the "Earth Mother" perished, so would life itself. Midori convinces her school to save the Earth, and together, as the "green army" they help to save the Earth.
Crucius also is not who he thinks he is; he knew he was an adopted child, but he had no idea that he was the "Earth Guardian", sent to live to save his mother, "Earth Mother". Crucius is the Prince of all life! Together, Midori and Crucius, the two "Dukes of Green" confront every hazard human causes towards nature. Will the two "Guardians" be successful in saving their mother Earth, or will Earth fall into the hands of evil mankind?
COMING SOON! BUY IT SOON! PLEASE!
